CAIPS/GCMS notes can be requested for any type of Canadian visa application that is made outside of Canada. CAIPS/GCMS is system maintained by Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) and Canadian High Commissions for all types of visa applications it includes details of applicant, dependents if any, documents submitted, documents incomplete/pending or additional documents requested, carry forward dates and visa officers remarks at each stage of file clearance till final decision i.e. either approval or refusal.
FOSS/GCMS notes can be requested for any type of Canadian visa application that is made within Canada. FOSS/GCMS is a system maintained by Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) for all categories of visa applications. FOSS is similar to CAIPS except that it is specifically for visa applications made within Canada.
